Really boring but recommendations for a new Hoover please?

I need a new Hoover. My heap of shit Hoover has ended up in the skip after DP lost patience with it. We have carpets upstairs and laminate downstairs. No pets. Just 2 extremely messy toddlers. Budget £150 max.

TIA :)

Miele all the way! Ditch the cat and dog (you dont need it anyway) version as it costs more and they do sell for £149. They non upright are best!

get a Henry!!! I love Henry Grin

I second the Miele recommendation - love ours, had it for years. Both DDs and I have long long long hair and it deals with it all, no muss no fuss.

I went with Henry and I am not disappointed! I am in love!!!!

Saw one of these "Dyson" types. No bags needed!

like I said, a prototype, only 25 euros!

On my to-do list, still draggin my sad old wheel-flew-off one around....(got to use up those bags!Hmm)....

Anything that is light-weight and you can do the job in half the time is my idea of dancing with the hoover! Grin

Bagless just have filters that need washing all the time instead. Irritating. Our Miele is great.

you can get the henry bags really cheap on amazon

mumofthemonsters808 · 02/04/2012 22:46

I've had my Dyson for 9 years and I would not be without it, well worth the money. My friend swares by her "Henry" but I think the Dyson takes some beating.

VivaLeBeaver · 02/04/2012 23:09

I've just replaced my dyson with a sebo and the sebo is so much better.

Lighter, sucks better and the best thing s that I can vacuum my entire house from the kitchen plug socket. With the dyson I couldn't even do the downstairs without having to change plug sockets.
