How do I get stains out of cream carpets?

Am seconding the rug doctor suggestion. I hired a machine from home base on tues and did my entire house (was really easy and took about 3 hours to do a 3 bed house plus rugs). Cream carpets in the living room were horribly stained thanks to having a toddler, 9 year old, dog and husband. It its now pristine and they have been warned that the first one to leave a mark will pay the price.
