any help of how to get rid of smell gratefully received.
Forfeited sunshine and cleaned all racks trays and oven itself.i used bio washing powder and astonish as usual.next tried soda crystals.when all that failed i put some vanilla essence in baking tray but had to give up on that because it was smoking so much.wiped down with white vinegar too.run out of ideas now...tia

I got rid of a bad mothballs smell in a chest of drawers by putting a load of bicarbonate of soda in a bowl, adding some lemon essential oil and shutting it in the drawer for ages. Have also spread bicarbonate on carpet where cat has peed (when it's been washed and dried) to remove lasting smell.

some people say a cut lemon in a pan of boiling water inside. I think the oven has to be cold so the steam condenses on it.

Anyway, if you do some baking, the smell will go.
