Its a Bosch c10 yrs old in our flat which we rent out,the tenants are rubbish at diagnosis I suspect it's the pump or could be just a blockage. Minimum quote so far is £66 plus parts should i nothing getting it repaired to just replace with a cheap machine????

call Bosch and ask what they charge for a "fixed price repair"

sometimes they offer that, to include whatever parts are needed, and a recall if the fault is not fixed; and they may also offer you a 12-month service contract for a bit extra. I have been more happy with that than with a one-off local independent mender (Bosch parts can be quite expensive)

if it was me I would start by taking out the filter myself and ensuring that the pump was not blocked with socks, coins, lego and bra wires.

Bosch washing machines tend to be very reiable and last a long time.

An equivalent new machine would cost some hundreds of pounds, you might consider taking out an extended warranty although if the tenants don't take care of it, I don't think the contract would cover user responsibilities like maintenance washes and filter clearance.
