advice re. steam cleaners

Hi all, can anyone recommend a good household steam cleaner?

I'd like it to work on tiles, wood, carpet and upholstery.

Would it be better to hire rather than buy in order to get what I need?

I have a POLTI and have had it for years - not for everyday use as it's the size of a small hoover and takes 15 mins to heat up but great for weekly use.

I don't use anything on wood btw except micro fibre mob and a dab of wood cleaner.
