advice on curtain linings!

Hi - feel foolish not knowing this stuff, but have always inherited curtains or had to buy IKEA :o)

Am thinking of having some curtains made, and am trying to get a quote. I need blackout lining (DC3 due in June) and my options are: 1. with blackout lining; 2. with blackout lining and interlining ; and 3. bonded blackout lining and interlining.

I don't want to go for necessarily cheapest option but also don't want to be a mug :) What does this all mean?

Any advice very gratefully received!

Go for black out lining and interlining - will be thick and warm and keep out light - I have these in 3 kids rooms and works really well - might want to think of a pelmet too as that will light at top.

Personally unless the windows are huge and/or single glazed I think blackout lining would be adequate.

I have interlined and blackout lined. V heavy feel for the winter.
I also have black out roller blinds as can be still light at 11 pm up in Scotland and I am obsessed by sleep!
