Not prettier but I have one of these cake carriers which is great if you are taking a decorated cake somewhere and you can take the clips right off when you get there so the base acts as a stand.

Looking forward to seeing some prettier options though!

I usually store my cakes in cake tins, but with the cake standing on the tin lid and the rest of the tin covering it (i.e. like the Rubbermaid link). If you then have some pretty tins with designs that can be upside down (e.g. polka dots) it looks fine.
Or perhaps I am odd?Grin

LakeLand have a big fancy cake carrier thing, I think it's made by Lock'n'lock.

i do that currently lilymaid. except for 'pretty cake tin' read 'old mikado biscuit plastic tin'. hence me having the brainwave that i needed something prettier.

i need a cross between a pretty tin and recursive moon's lock and lock caddy.

2 Shock!

They're mahoosive, but look very useful.

anniewoo · 17/03/2012 20:39

I store stuff in them (upside down) when not in use. They have a handle too

This any good? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TALL-CAKE-CARRIER-COURIER-CADDY-TRANSPORTING-CAKES-CUPCAKES-all-COLOURS-/260930468952?pt=Uk_Crafts_Cake_Decorating_MJ&var=&hash=item82671f6f69#ht_661wt_956

I seem to recall plain ones being on sale in my local Tesco - £5 or £6, which seemed like quite a bargain.

ah, better, yes. except i was hoping to get it for my birthday in september, and there's only one left!
