Washing machine on its way out?

It keeps skipping part of the cycle, so sometimes it hasn't rinsed the soap properly and other times it hasn't spun properly so everything is sopping wet! Is it about to die? It is about 5 years old and is a cheapo Beko one.

Cheap machines are supposedly built to last 3 years, apparently.
My cheapo one lasted 5/6 years. So it might be time.

Have you done a maintenance wash (or cleaning cycle or whatever - high temp, no clothes)? Its a long shot but you never know.
