Wool detergent necessary?

Hi!
I bought a lovely merino wool go go bag and it says on the washing instructions to use wool approved liquid wash.
Can I use anything else I have at home?

Do you have non bio? you cant use bio as it will eat the protein in the wool, it's a bit risky though.

I use Alur from homebargains. It's made by the stardrops people and only cost 89p per bottle.
