Ridiculous question about cleaning a tv

lukeiamyourmother · 12/03/2012 23:10

First, please forgive my stupidity.

Ok so on my old crappy tv, I just used glass cleaner. But this new tv has one of those LCD screens. The screen is matte... So can I use glass cleaner?

Confused!!!

Not sure on this one. I have a few flat screen tv's around the house and I use hypo alllergenic baby wipes to gently wipe the screen removing finger marks and any other marks and then wipe gently with a soft cloth or just leave it to dry itself - doesn't seem to have affected the tv's in any way yet and I have done it for a while. Hope this helps.

2 ecloths - one damp, one dry. Wipe with the damp then polish with the dry. That will remove any smears. Get a microfibre mitt and use that for daily regular dusting.

You aren't meant to use any water on televisions as it can leave white deposits. I use a micro fibre cloth and then once a week I use a spray ( from the 99p shop!) for screens.

I use screen wipes which are supposed to be for the car windscreen. Worked a treat!
