Trainers in washing machine?

Do you put your ds shoes/trainers in the washing machine? Ds' trainers got really dirty at the park yesterday, they are textile so think they'll be ok to chuck in the machine?

Yes, we do all of ours & they come out just fine - not too hot a wash thoughWink

Thanks rockin, I was just going to put it on a gentle 30 wash, that's the coolest setting.

I do all shoes on a hand wash or quick wash cycle. Make sure it's not hot, and put in an old big towel to soften the thumping on the side of the machine.

Yes, I put them in - as others say, you don't want a hot wash, and it's good to throw in some 'padding' to stop them banging around the drum too much.

whethergirl · 12/03/2012 17:34

Is that because the banging is annoying or some other damage-to-the-machine type of reason?

I'm happy to report that they've just come out the wash and have come up a treat.

I do - but not if they're newish, because it means you can't take them back if they fall apart. Converses come up looking good as new, too.

Converse always look amazing after a wash. You never realise how dirty they are!

Ooh good tip, I do have a pair of filthy converse somewhere.
