Fridge temperature - not cold enough? Ideas to fix it?

My fridge doesn't seem to be cold enough, even on the lowest dial. The temperature on the top shelf at the back is between 4 and 7 degrees - too warm?
The fridge is about 3 years old - fridge freezer.
Any suggestions about how I could fix this?
(I haven't poisoned the family yet, so maybe it's ok...?!)
Thanks.

Have you made sure the fan isn't covered? Even if it's just a pot of something obstructing it, it could make a difference to the temperature.

Try turning it up to the max.

Fridge dials are normally from low number [not very cold] to high number [very cold]. They don't correlate with actual temperature at all.

Hi
It is on the lowest temperature, and just reading the thermometer, it is 5.3 degrees on the second shelf from the top, at the back. Is this normal /safe?
Thanks

Ah, I see. Smile

I dunno, but Environmental Health people say about 5 degrees at coolest isn't too far out of line.

Why do you think it's too warm? Is stuff always going off?
