Do you use your smartphone to help organise yourselves?

Hi,

I'm just about to get my new smartphone and I have heard there are some great apps and options to help you organise your housework, the kids and so on. I know very little about smartphones, so any ideas will be welcome! Thanks.

My iPhone is the only thing I need to organise myself.

I have:
Calendar
Address book
Meal planner
Calore counting
Event planner
Reminders
Pedometer
Banking

Everything you could ever think of needing an app for.
It's amazing.

I have a wildfire. Use the calendar to remind myself to do jobs. Notebook lets you make tick lists. Also gives regular reminders.

I use Google for mail, contacts and calendar and have them linked to my phone so I can update them online or on my phone.

I also use www.rememberthemilk.com for my to do list and pay extra for the Pro account (but it's definitely worth it!). Everything goes in there and I don't forget anything.

Also use the notepad for keeping notes on things (i.e. measurements I may want to refer to when out and about).

GroceryGadget is great for shopping lists. You can sync your phone with another so both will update with changes whenever they have an Internet signal.

Better than flylady? Off to take a look...

Umm - can't find it. Unless it is "Home Organiser" instead? How sad that I stayed up to check this out. Blush

Home Routine comes up if you type home routine (all one word) in the iPhone app store. I find it really useful. I've tried a few different to do list type apps, but the 'reminders' app on iPhone does the same job just as well for me.

I like the idea of a meal planner app Utterbutterly - which one do you use?

Ah - I'm looking for an android app. Really I should just go to bed.

Some great tips here. I like the idea of the shopping app, and will check the Home Routine app.

Please keep the tips coming!
