Planning a cleaning day today - am on steroids so have lots of energy just now, so will be doing as much as my lungs allow me to do.

Mini list to start off with -

fill 3 black bags
clean bathroom
chop old clothes for rags or bin (those not suitable for charity shop)

I'll join inSmile

I've already done the bathroom and the kitchen (I don't usually tackle housework this early but baby awake at 3:30, he went back to sleep an hour ago and I'm still wide awake, I'm leaving DP in bed til baby wakes up then I'm going back to bed)

I've put some washing in so hope to get that drying before I go back to bed.

When I get up again I want to:

Sort out clothes for charity shop and get them in the car

Tackle DC's bedrooms. All bedding needs changing and they all need a good clean and possibly a toy sort out while they're at swimming and not here to claim they really love that bit of broken plastic that they've not touched for a year.

Trip to the rubbish tip

Clean the inside of the front door, noticed lots of grubby fingerprints and a thick layer of dust on the window above it yesterday.

Plus all of the usual Sunday back to school tomorrow stuff that needs doing.

If it's not rude to ask, what are the steroids for? Asthma, as you mention lungs? Don't overdo it if you've been ill

alessthandomesticgoddess · 04/03/2012 06:35

I'll bite.

I need to sort out my floordrobe.
Fold clean sheets.
Hoover the stairs & landing.
Sweep & mop the tiles & laminate.
Clean the bathroom.
Sort out the play room.
Feed & water the rabbit.
Febreeze everything I can't wash.

Plus ironing school uniforms, meal planning, list making, nap taking & bath time.

Yes asthma, no I won't be doing too much and if I get out of breath have some paer sorting I can do sitting down.

Grin giraffe. Didn't mean to nag you. You sound like me when my mum tells me to take it easy when I've been ill.

So has anyone started or still at list making stage?

giraffesCantDonateBoneMarrow · 04/03/2012 07:18

done my three bags, machine on, bathroom sprayed with stuff and small bag ready for charity shop.

Now sitting down with cuppa and removing nail polish and will do base coat and let it dry...that counts as a job too Wink

Giraffes, stop it! You're making me feel lazy.

It's my lie in day and DP has just brought me a big mug of coffee to devour while I lounge in bed on MN. 15 month old DD isn't up yet but I haven't slept so glad of this. 3yo's are eating breakfast though.

giraffesCantDonateBoneMarrow · 04/03/2012 07:32

I often start very enthusiastic then tail off....

I usually start terribly and realise ut isn't killing me so I do a little more. I need more motivation.

I love you for Dolly alone.

CarpeJugulum · 04/03/2012 08:29

Right. I'll half join as I need a motivational kick up the arse pep talk to get going today.

I need to:
Make cottage pies for dinner (individuals due to various people out and about)
Tidy spare room come office to allow DF to get in and sleep
Quick wipe of bathrooms
Dust/Hoover living room and dining room

And last but not least - do some WAH work for my job Sad

I have no impetus to do this Hmm

Please apply boot to my backside!

CarpeJugulum · 04/03/2012 13:02

Bollocks. I killed everyone's momentum didn't I? Sad

giraffesCantDonateBoneMarrow · 04/03/2012 13:16

Am back...

OP posts:
BuckBuckMcFate · 04/03/2012 19:40

So how did everyone get on in the end?

I went back to bed til 1pm Shock

I've dried one load, washed and dried another.

Changed beds, one bin bag of rubbish

It looks like the scrap metal men helped themselves to my pile of stuff for the rubbish tip so that was one job less to do.

School uniforms to iron and then Wine

CarpeJugulum · 04/03/2012 20:04

I made the dinner and sorted the spare room.

I got round the dusting by handing DS a crumbly biscuit as guest arrived and a blithe "sorry, DS makes such a mess" comment Blush Grin
