Watching as my white pillows are a bit 'off colour'!

have you tried soaking with a bit of bleach? Or glow-white?

how about laundry blue - no idea what it is called but gran always swore by it

massive scoop of vanish and ariel bio for whites. Wash at 60c. Mine are still so white you'd need sunglasses to look at em on the line and they are at least 6 years old.

they are white? have you ever washed anything that is not white? Could they have oil on them from bath oil or skin cream?

Are they cotton, polycotton or what?

Persil powder really does wash whiter. The bio is more powerful than the non-bio. If they are pure cotton they can take a HOT HOT HOT wash.

Have you done the exciting maintenance wash to clean out the sludge from your machine?

With the maintenance wash do you add soda crystals?

you haven't got to.

Ho hot hot wash with no powder and no fabsoft will dissolve most of the old soap sludge. You can put white cotton towels if you have some. If it foams up that will be the old soap sludge dissolving. Do it again. When it no longer foams, it has washed the sludge out.

Did you keep them in the cupboard with the hot water tank? Sheets are best kept away from heat.

Long hot wash, double the amount of powder, same amount of soda crystal and an extra long rinse cycle.
