How do you clean a hairbrush? I have a barrel type that lets the hot air through from hair dryer, v good and all that, but have just realised that masses of my moulted off hair is threaded right through it and I can't seem to get it all untangled. Can I put it in a large jar of something like that blue stuff at the hairdressers to get rid of the hair? It is really minging now I look at it.

You need to cut/scrape the hair off. The blue stuff is barbacide - disinfectant, so that won't strip the hair off your brush.

Use a comb and pull the hair off with that, you might need to snip at bits with some nail scissors if its really tangled.

Then give the brush a wash in hot soapy water and rinse. If you want to disinfect it, make up a savlon/dettol solution.
