How do you clean a washing machine ?

Saw on another thread ' things you have learnt from MN' . Some posts were mentioning how to clean a washing machine .- now we can get cleaning products to 'clean' our dishwasher so is there such thing for washing machines ?

or did I miss the joke?

there are loads of threads on how to clean washing machines - normally involves removing dispenser drawer and cleaning it and the bit the drawer goes into, cleaning the rubber seal, cleaning out the filter and running a 90°C wash with either bio powder, soda crystals or white vinegar - you can also get products to run through the washing machine that do the same job as the above.

Thanks , have done a search and a 90 degree wash with white vinegar sounds good .( and the most simple !)
