Hi all, I've just been trying to "shine" my kitchen sink but have noticed it is covered in scratches.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of the scratches ??

It is a stainless steel sink.

TIA

Or Shiny sinks but don't leave it on too long

I just use washing up liquid and a soft cloth, then dry with newspaper to get it shiny.

Is it shiny stainless steel or that brushed look SS? If it's the latter I feel you are never going to get it shiny but you can remove the lime marks with viakal and either way a tiny, tiny amount of baby oil on a piece of kitchen roll rubbed over the surface will keep marks at bay. Obviously use the oil only if your dishes don't come into contact with the draining board. Soft cloth is a good idea too
