Help. I am drowning in washing.

See that hand sticking up from the pile of clothes? That's me.

I have been on the sofa with DS2 on my lap for two days (d&V bug). Things were pretty bad before but he has vomited on every blanket/towel we own. I would say that nearly every article of clothing is waiting to be put away bar the one load of wet washing in the basket and the stuff drying on the radiators. I do not know where to start. Help.

I'm feeling you here. Do you have a friendly neighbour with a tumble dryer.

shrinkingnora · 28/02/2012 20:49

I do actually but Dh is at work and the sprogs are in bed. It's more the clean stuff. The pile is several feet deep. I just feel paralysed by it.

Put the tv onto some rubbish and do it. I am the same, just hate it. Wine?

Do 15 mins, start at the top of the pile and then fold clothes and sort into mini piles for each drawer etc

pictish · 28/02/2012 21:27

I feel your pain. Urk!

Gumby · 28/02/2012 21:28

Go through clean pile & see if you can recycle anything
Get rid of sheets & towels first & pile will go right down
Shove rest in drawers

call laundrettes. some do service washes pick up/wash/dry/fold/drop off.

desparate measure for a deparate situation.
