I have an irrational fear of other peoples dirt/germs etc. I am ok with some people I know, others not so much. I know its irrational, I know I need to do something about it but right now Im freaking out and I need your help!

Moved from one rental (which had been a new build so no bothers) to another rental whre I am losing the plot altogether. The LL is replacing the washer and dryer so I am ok with those, but I cannot cope with the rest of the place. He steam cleaned the carpet but I wont stand on it at all (and he said no to putting in flooring even though I said I would pay) I cant sit on the couch, though again it was steamed, I have a throw under me now but it wont do forever. I wont use the cupboards etc...

Now the reason I need help is that I need a wash and I am back to work tomorrow. The bath is clean ish looking, tiles are grotty, showerhead, taps are same. I need to get over myself and clean it. so I thought, if I get some top tips on how to sterlize this house, I might be able to bring myself to live in it! Can any one help with ideas/tips?

Short term: Rubber gloves, 50/50 water bleach in a spray bottle, scarf tied round your face, lots of washing up scrubbers so you can bin them as needed, microfibre cloths and get stuck in.

Then when you're clean, appointment with the doctor. You do not need to live like this.

Thanks BuckBuck. Ive done that and steamed it with a steamer, still cant bring myself to use it. I guess I have more issues that cleaning!
