Princess birthday cake

I am making a princess birthday cake and the sponge will be cooked in a pyrex bowl to get the shape of the ballgown. As the cake will be very thick, how long should it need to cook? Any ideas please?

A friend of mine made a princess cake, she cooked it in the microwave but I dont know how long for. Probably just kept takig it out and testing it.

You prob just need 45 mins to 1 hr. set it for forty mins then stick a knife in it to see if it's cooked.
