Boring Thread Klaxon! Help me with irons and board covers!

So my iron is dying - the steam setting is now just hot Angry and it's not making my life easier as I've just started ironing again now that DS doesn't want to hang off my leg all the time.

So can I have your recommendations for:
? an iron - I want a good load of steam as I rarely iron using any other setting, but I can't afford a reservoir iron; my max budget would be £40-£50.
? a cover for my ironing board - I have one currently that I love. It's a metallic style cover that reflects the heat back up so you can sort of iron both sides at once; but I can't seem to find a similar idea.

Anyone got any ideas? TIA!

My Mum is the Queen of ironong and swears by the JML ones

I have found that B&M bargains always seems to have a good range of irons at a really great price compared to the big shops like comet etc.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I didn't want your post to go unanswered x

Custard Smile

I've seen the JML and have wondered, but based on your Mum's recommendation, I shall now purchase.

Still a bit unsure about irons, so will consider them more. I only need to rewash every 4th item of clothing due to ick that has started now.
