I am inspired and desperate to procrastinate from work by the washing machine threads and want to clean my oven as well. Somewhere I've read you can clean it by painting baking powder or exploding baking powder and then wiping it off? I googled it and all I found were people saying you should spray it on every time you cook but I don't fancy the idea of the crap that's in our oven falling into my food (not worried about baking powder doing so).
I have seen the dishwasher tablet/teatowel trick and will try that with the shelves and the deep tray but can't with the grill element (on the ceiling).
Does anyone know the baking powder thing please? Or is it bicarb? I should say the oven is not ours (rented flat) and is an electric/fan/grill in one in case that makes any difference.
TIA to anyone who can help :)
