Any recommendations? I wouldn't really want to go over £300, but domestic drudgery getting me down and think this could help a little. I know there's a household goods page for this kind of thing, but doesn't seem like it gets as many people as Good housekeeping.

we bought a Bosch Classixx 3 years ago second hand and it's been WONDERFUL. We use it every day (quick setting - takes 30 mins and gets everything clean) - would thoroughly recommend if they still make them.

We had a Hotpoint slimline in our last house that worked really well for the 2 of us. We now have a Bosch Clasixxx full size and it's great too!

I think the Hotpoint was about £180. I think it was an Ulitmax or something like that. I can't remember exactly.

I have an Indesit one, like this (though they've slightly changed the buttons).

Best £200 I've spent in many years. I love it!

Thanks for the info - shall make investigations.

I have had two of the Indesits like Auntie and they have been great. We left the first behind when we moved house as it didn't fit into the new kitchen, and it is still in use by the current owners - that one is nearly 9 years old.

I have a Diplomat, integrated slimline one. Its brill, there are 4 of us, use it once everyday then about once a week have to put in on for a second time. Wouldnt be without a dishwasher now-as soon as it breaks will be ordering another one straight the way!!GrinGrin

I have the zanussi one, sorry not sure of price but it's great. Has timer so I can delay the start, choice of temp and economy wash etc

Bosch Classixx here too :)

we recently bought a slimline integrated neff dishwasher. I love it! Bosch and Neff are the same company and many of their appliances have exactly the same specification.
If you can, get one with a seperate cutlery shelf so that you don't have a cutlery basket on the lower shelf taking up loads of room.

Ours is very quiet and only uses 9 litres of water in the eco cycle, that's less than a sink full of water!
