Can anyone recommend a bagless vacuum cleaner?

Our vacuum cleaner has given up the ghost and we would prefer to replace it with a bagless one. Any recommendations? Preferably not too expensive!

Dyson - but it will need thoroughly cleaning at least once a year (servicing professionally I mean).

I brought a Vax in comet for £50, very pleased with it but it is noisy

Also recommend a Vax. For a cheap one it's excellent. Especially with pet hair.

not dyson dc27. horrible thing. we use the cheap Russell Hobbs cylinder one. Much easier to use. but I dont recommend it because the tubes keep falling apart...

I bought a Bush from Argos this week reduced to £31.99, and it is brilliant. I had a good vax before i killed it, didn't hoover for 2 days and this one got so much oout my carpets .

Very impressed, and better than the dyson i previously owned
