What makes a must have selection of tools or products? Is there an amazing item I should buy? Do you use something unconventional? (My gran used to give her windows and mirrors a smear free shine with cold tea from the pot).

Soda crystals and biological washing powder, bleach and washing up liquid, I clean most of my house with these things.

E cloths, and this for cleaning the bathroom, it has a scrubbing effect that is soft and doesn't scratch.

I use a commercial string mop and bucket - its hard wearing and lets you put you back into it, and a dyson vac.

I have but don't rate a steam mop and a steam cleaner that is quite good but not used in the last 3.5 years very often!

Yes, I buy the bio powder (basic supermarket effort) and bleach... washing liquid of course. That scrub pad looks good. Do you use just water as i know I can't resist bleach on the tiles. I have a steam cleaner and I love it, it requires lots of faff though. I can't seem to shift all the guff off the cooker hob pan holder (its welded on Blush )

Yes I use the pad in water, I fill the bath/sink with an inch or so of hot water and WUL with a splash of bleach (or sometimes just squirt some normal bathroom spray around) and use the pad to rub it over, it is 'scrubby' on one side, then I fill it with clean water and rinse it off - the back of the pad is chamois leather type and dries it all very well with no drip marks.

The pan holders you can put through the dishwasher if you have one, or in the bath soaking in bio powder - it cleans them really well. I also use bio powder to mop my floors.

I clean most areas in my house with hot soapy water with a splash of bleach in - including the paintwork. I damp dust with hot soapy water. I do buy kitchen/bathroom sprays like flash and use them as well but most of the time its the hot soapy water and bleach.

I've had every kind of cleaning product under the sun I'm a bit of a lakeland addict, and I end up coming back to these things.
