i might be mad choosing half term but it needs to be done. Nice Xmas I have let it slip. I have had dd1 birthday since then so I am sinking under piles of toys. I started yesterday afternoon with dds bedroom. It is only a small room but it took me two hours. Today is the living room, tomorrow the kitchen and we'd is the bathrooms and my bedroom. I am only sharing this withnyou all as a motivational tool so by the end of the week I can post about my tidy house

Excellent!! sounds good. Can I join you? I've really let things slip since Christmas here too with one thing another and now Im completely overwhelmed (despite cleaning constantly, its just not taking shape - by the time I've one room gleaming, and move on to the next, I turn around and its a tip again)Anyway, need to get it sorted asap.

Im thinking a good overhaul everywhere and then start using the home routine app as a way to maintain. Im thinking that once its in order, Ill introduce a rota in the house and more routine and specific tasks for specific days.

Im working full time and working all week so this is tough, by the time I get the kids sorted and to bed its 7.30pm but I may just get on with it this week!!!

We started doing the same last week, really deep cleaning, decluttering and touching up paint etc. reaching the home stretch now and feel so much better for it, good luck

I'm in! I posted another thread about this last night. So far this morning I've succesfully procrastinated and achieved approximately... nothing :(

Going to grab some lunch now and then get started on the decluttering!

I'm in, back to work next week after 8 months maternity leave and need to have a final push at sorting the clutter out. Have bought lots of nice storage boxes which are now full of the clutter I couldn't bear to throw away!

Thought I would give you my update. I have not touched mums net since 11.30 and have spent the entire time sorting my living room. I have sorted all they toys including the ones that end up under the sofa. Pulled out all furniture and swept, mopped and cleaned skirtings. Cleaned the sofa and given all furniture a good polish, including the few ornaments I have. Shoved the cushion covers in the wash and de cob webbed. I am now knackered.

Wow that's a lot of cleaning! I managed some decluttering and have washed my cushion covers too. Cleaned the kitchen too

Thanks. I am just about recovered now. While I was doing all they my dds were wrecking the bedroom that I did yesterday. It's just a big circle
