how to remove tomato stains from clothing

Hi,

My little girl spilled some tomato sauce on her pale pink cords. I washed it as normal but the stain hasn't come out; I have kept the trousers damp as I worry drying them might set the stain. Any tips?

Squirt some Fairy Liquid direct on the stain then run under a cold tap before washing?

Sunlight!

Not much sunlight at this time of the year!

There is enough.

Fairy liquid. I got curry out of my pyjama top using fairly liquid.

Ace bleach for delicates is my fave (although might not work that well if you've already washed them)

A bit random, but I've found Wine Away helped for me.

I spray it on, scrub by hand in the sink, rinse under tap and repeat. Also spray a bit on and leave for a while then do this. I got a really bad tomato pasta stains out of white tops doing this.

My logic behind trying it was that red wine and tomatoes both contain lycopenes Grin
