Cast iron frying pan question

The 'seasoning' on my pan is flaking off. Just tiny black bits, but don't like to use it now. Have tried scrubbing with salt, bicarb, wire wool, but can't get it back to how it was. Short of sandblasting, any ideas? (Would replace it, but can't find cast iron in my local shops). Thanks.

Have you reseasoned it? Heated it with a high smoking point oil in, like rapeseed oil? I would do that. Few times and see what happens. I think scrubbing it is going to make it worse, just oil it, heat it, then wipe it with kitchen towel.

Belated thanks, SkiingGardner!
