i am wondering if we are being fleeced for our water/sewage. was on a meter in my first house, bills really low but it was just me & dh back then, next house we paid about £280 a year to north west water. now we're in the midlands and our bill is around the £300 mark, but we have to pay the same to both severn trent, and again to anglian (total £600ish) as one deals with the water and one deals with sewage. it seems a huge leap from north west water where we paid less than half that for both services Confused

Check what they are actually billing you for! Sounds expensive, they may have you down as water and sewerage when they should only be one. Why not call up to get put on a meter again? They should do that for free.
