Sebo vacuum cleaner - help please

We've just bought a Sebo upright vacuum cleaner and it is lovely for using as an upright cleaner - feels really light and seems to be doing a good job on the pet hair - but if I use the nozzle extension thing it is continually trying to retract back into the machine, am I doing something wrong? Should I have attached the extension hose to the shorter hose or is the extension hose meant to be stored separately unless you are hoovering stairs?
Don't want to have to start hoover shopping all over again.

TIA.

When you pull the extension hose out, give it a sharp pull and you should hear it click into place - it should then stay out while you use it

I've got the extra extension which I use on the stairs - it's just a longer version of the extendable part but makes cleaning stairs easier

If you're going to get the extra bit make sure it's the right one for the right model - the one I've shown may not fit your model

Thank You! So I was doing it wrong :)

We seem to already have an extension hose which came with the machine - haven't tried it yet though.

Thanks again.
