Ok everyone, how do you do it? How do you be a good mummy, good partner and have a beautiful looking home all at the same time? Oh yeah and see to the dog?
I am a young Mummy, 19, i live with my DS 9 MO, Partner 25, and my dog, timmy in a small 2 bed rented house, only just big enough. My partner does nothing and never will other than sit on his arse. I have this obsession to have everything clean and tidy, im trying my best but there is ALWAYS a pile of washing/pots near the sink so, whats your "routine?"

I'm still trying to keep on top of things --and failing-- at 37 Blush

Hopefully someone will come along with some useful advice.Wink

I don't. I manage to have one thing going well at a time. Most of the time it is the children and the house and dog get neglected. Every now and then when the house is too shameful to mention, I pay attention to it and end up grumpy and growly at children, dog comes third unfortunately but has been known to stand forlornly at door with lead in mouth in order to remind me of her needs at which time children complain bitterly at being dragged about with said dog and house festers silently behind us!!!!

I have a routine of doing one thing each day (except when I'm working)

Mon and tues is work.
Wed is food shop
thurs is dusting
Fri is hoovering
Sat is bathroom cleaning
Sun is be changing and general tidy (5mibs here and there)

The washing and kitchen are done daily as with a baby and toddler they need it! The kitchen is tidied once the kids are asleep, washer is on in the mornings and emptied as soon as I can. if dh is doing the kitchen then I tidy the living room and fold laundry - and vice versa.

I find it works for me as the jobs are pretty short - and can be done at speed. Easy to do with kids and easy to catch up if I miss a day. And my OCD side lives a good routine! :)

You get your partner to help or get rid.

MollyBroom's right - your child and dog deserve better.
