Septic tanks- note in the loo

I want to put a note in the bathroom to ask guests not to put sanitary products etc down the loo.

Does anyone have one and can advise me on wording?

I've come across some twee poems on line which make me feel a bit sick. I just want something simple. Is 'please don't flush sanitary products' better than 'please only put toilet paper down the loo'.

I am stuck at home with a sick toddler, hence overthinking this!

Also planning to, er, cross stitch the note, which is why I need to get the wording right! Grin

Do people still flush sanitary products these days?
Just mention it.

I'm not sure you can avoid twee if you're cross stitching it.

Non-twee cross-stich. Hmm. Nope, not sure I can help you :o

'Don't flush anything down the toilet other than human waste products and toilet paper, or you'll be paying to get the septic tank fixed. Thanks."
And some love hearts.

What about something like "Toilet paper only to be flushed, Sanitaries, nappies etc. go in bin placed next to toilet".

I assume you will provide a bin? I think some people will take wrapped nappies, sanitary towels with them but might be inclined to flush a tampon if there isn't an alternative provided!

Thanks for replies! Am going for irony with the cross stitch but know it's a fine line.

Yes I'll be providing a bin, plus those paper bags with a lady on them if I can find a stockist.

and a knitted loo roll cover in the shape of a flamenco dancer

I have the purple Pop-Ins & a lidded bin in the loo here and leave them out when guests come. TBH I tend to have A Brief Word with lady visitors - an airy-fairy "We are on a septic tank, so only toilet paper can go down the loo" kinda thing.

Planning to cross stitch it Shock

I'm hoping for a Tracey Emin vibe, LillianGish Wink

Thanks CavemanDave I like your approach!
