My tumbler drier smells faintly of burnt rubber - anything to be concerned about?

That's it really. It's vented to the outside. I should probably vacuum the fluff filter.

Other thoughts please?

feel and examine the plug, socket and flex. Has anything heavy stood on the flex? If there is an extension flex, it may not be up to the power.

If the washer and drier are both plugged into the same double socket, this will often cause it to overheat. Surprisingly, double sockets are also rated to a nominal 13Amps, just like singles. I won't bore you with the reasons. MK sockets have a higher rating than most.

yes, check all connections - we had that and found the thingummy at the back was partial melted and we were lucky not to have been burnt to the ground!

Can you tell I'm not leaping off the computer to go and investigate?

are you over drying stuff? ...you sometimes get a hot burny smell in that case.

Check you have cleaned the fluff from the filter and else where
