I need to replace a four slice toaster - it needs to have separate controls for each pair of slots (I have my toast lightly done, DP cremates his). I also want it to be deep enough to take a full slice of bread, our current one isn't big enough to toast the slice all the way. Are Dualit ones worth the ££s? Any other recommendations would be gratefully received. TIA.

Weeeell I had J Lewis vouchers and so got a there 4 slice toaster and it does everything you have said you want and a bit more ... It has a reheat, bagel and cancel button, stylish looking to boot. for a toaster it's pretty sh** hot Grin

Bit upset that I'm so excited about my toaster Blush

Was considerably cheaper than the Duralit one I wanted.

Apologise for crap post I'm on I phone!

PrancingBuffalo · 25/01/2012 12:48

Thanks planetpotty - and don't be upset about being excited - I'm excited about perfect toast potential, it will make my mornings much better! Does the JL one toast the full slice, all the way to the top?

Yes it toast all the bread it fits all the way in and TBH I think there's room for more (maybe I buy crap bread!) definitely no bread overhang Smile

planetpotty · 25/01/2012 17:38

Oh oh it also has a defrost button!

I want a new one....have JL vouchers burning a hole in my purse!
I want one that doesn't spill crumbs everytime you move it...l

planetpotty · 25/01/2012 17:53

I'm off to wiggle the toaster to test for crumage loss Wink

planetpotty · 25/01/2012 17:56

Crap my toaster is full of crumbs (well over due a clean!) wouldn't be fair to test it under those conditions. But just asked DH if our toaster leaks crumbs and he looked like this HmmConfusedHmm and said "nah it's got a little tray"

Oooh. I too have some JL vouchers from Christmas. Their own make sounds good, but the Dualit lite one looks pretty cool too. Do you think JL would mind if I turned up with a slice of bread to check for toast overhang? [bwink]

Mine has a tray but still there is always a mountain of them.

planetpotty · 25/01/2012 18:07

The JL one is not a crumb leaker (I'm just putting mine under immense pressure by hoarding toast crumbsBlush)

I'm sure they would oblige an overhang test Wink
