Shrinking Shirt Sleeves

Batman!!

So, husband´s long sleeved shirts are exiting the washing machine shorter than when they go in!

What is going on?

They are washed at 30deg.

Same: expensive(TMLewin) ones too. Sad

Any ideas why?

I´m due to wash tomorrow & there are shirts that need doing!

Should I do them by hand, put them in a net?

Leave them at the bottom of the wash box??!!

Oh thank goodness - my dh has been insisting I must be boiling them as all too many are too short in the arms in no time.

Will watch thread with interest and hope Smile

Have just read somewhere that if you don´t buy cotton garments that are prewashed/preshrunk, then they will always shrink!!

Although this has happened to both 100% cotton & polycotton shirts.

Long sleeved tshirts not, though!!Confused

Fairly fast spin I think 1200(?).

Drying by either hanging out or up in house-not tumble drying.
