How can I shrink a cardigan?

I bought a maternity cardigan, in my size online. It is too big but can't return it now as I've worn and washed it.
It says handwash only, but I thought it might shrink a bit if I washed it in the machine so put in a wool wash. I'm sure its bigger now!
Should I wash on a normal wash and hope it shrinks a bit?

Its a mixture of lambswool, nylon and viscose.

Thanks

I'd give in and take it in at the seams, myself.

tumble dry it?

Whether it shrinks depends on the % of pure wool you've got in there, nylon and viscose aren't going to shrink I'm afraid. I'd take it in a bit like 2 kids suggests.

if you really like it take the seams in to be on the safe side, alternatively put it on a hot wash 60 degrees and see if that helps, but you risk ruining it
Could you ebay it instead?

I've kind of ruined it already I think by stretching it and it got covered in grey fluff from the washing machine. Wasn't cheap either! (well not for me)
Might try a normal wash and see what happens, I hadn't thought of taking it in, never really done that before.
