Looks like we will be redecorating our room. :)

So out with the beige textured wallpaper ad in with painted ... What???

Room Is SW facing with small ish window in corner.
Furniture is birch okra stuff and carpet is beige/ cream. Doubt we'll be able to replace them for some time.

What colour would you choose? Or have? Or love?

Btw dh is colour blind so it's totally my call. Grin

Mine is a cream on the walls and built in wardrobes. Floorboards which I've just had re-sanded and varnished and they look so lush I don't want to put any rugs down.

Have a cream Roman blind which has been trimmed with deep red/dark pink tassels. Difficult to imagine maybe, but looks absolutely lovely.

White bedlinen, crimson throw and cushions too. I love my room. It was going to be DS's room, but I decided the view from the bedroom window (it's at the back of the house) was wasted on him and have had it all done this past week just for meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Currently doing DD3's room and will think about the other two DDs and DS's rooms some time...

Ours is a kind of coffee/mocha type colour and I HATE it. Wish I'd either gone with an off white and colourful accessories (lampshades/curtains) or something with a bit more brightness to it.

SmileItsSunny · 19/01/2012 18:08

Ours is a bland cream which I didn't think I'd like - but it is so restful! I love it.

RightUpMyRue · 19/01/2012 18:09

White with one wall in pretty blue and white wall paper. White blind and white curtains. Waxed pine furniture. Bed sheets either white or white and blue. I think it's very pretty and fresh without being too girly and making DP feel like a guest.

countessbabycham · 19/01/2012 18:11

cream walls, lightshade, curtains and carpet and a bedspread with matching canvas on the wall of so many colours your eyes nearly bleed......

Rindercella · 19/01/2012 18:17

My bedroom is cream walls. But I have just ordered curtains in this fabric I am getting matching cushions too. Bedding is all white or off-white. I am considering getting my dressing room papered in the same pattern as the curtains. However, I have a very destructive 22 month old and am worried what havoc she would wreck with it, so I may delay that a year or two.

3 walss a stone/very pale lilac type colour (bought by accident I picked wrong tester pot up but then loved it) one wall with deep plum wallpaper with cold colour speckled printed circles (this wall behind my bed) Deep plum bedding and lots of soft lighting.

Solid rustic pine furniture, beige carpet (needs replacing when money allows) wooden venetian blinds and plum curtains. I LOVE it I redecorated when DH & I seperated as I wanted it to be my room and snug and cosy so I felt relaxed in it (did it all myself hence the colours). When DH moved back in he commented how much he liked it Shock

Labootin · 19/01/2012 18:23

Not in uk but

White Walls
Marble floor ( creamy colour )
Off White tallboy and bedside tables
Off White table lamps
White bedding
windows are floor to ceiling ...with door and balcony off so curtains are cream and very light

I was toying with colour but it's so restful ( plus our bed is so high.. Triple matress) that the children can't climb in so it a blissful adult space)

NeedAnXmasList · 19/01/2012 18:37

DD1 - main wall flowery teal blue paper with rest of walls a stone colour - floor is pale laminate and curtains stone and pale turquoise

DS1 - dark brown leather look wallpaper on main wall with ivory paint on others and a cream carpet

DS2 - purple and cream horizontal stripey wallpaper on main wall, ivory paint on other walls, purple curtains and cream carpet

Other two DC are waiting to get their rooms done!

My room - got a thin dado rail and put frame on wall behind bed (about 6ft high and 8ft wide) and put wallpaper in this bit - in teal and chocolate. Rest of walls painted in 'cookie dough', cream carpet. Two big teal table lamps, duck egg blue curtains. Painted the orange pine in duck egg blue and replaced knobs with brushed steel and furniture looks great.

Grockle · 19/01/2012 18:41

South facing with big bay window - everything is white: walls, bedlinen, bedframe, built in wardrobes, blinds, with beigey carpet and dusky pink cashmere throw on the bed and a few candles/ photos. I love it (when it's tidy)

Ragwort · 19/01/2012 18:42

Magnolia walls, beige carpet, dark green curtains, beige bedlinen - pretty beige all round really Grin - haven't redecorated since we moved in (a year) not quite sure what to do ..............

Ragwort · 19/01/2012 18:43

I would love a cashmere throw on the bed but I know where DH would throw it Grin.

2madboys · 19/01/2012 18:44

Pale beige carpet, white furniture, blue curtains, blue shades on bedside lamps, blue cushions on beds and all white bed linen. The walls are white too. Second that it's very restful. So simply decorated but my favourite room in the house :)

Methe · 19/01/2012 18:45

White walls with a white and blue floral wallpaper at the head of the bed. Oak furniture and either white or pale blue bed linin depending on what mood i'm in.

It's not been done very long, I love it!

Grockle · 19/01/2012 18:58

DP is not allowed to touch the throw Grin

oohermrs · 19/01/2012 19:01

Creams and duck egg blue. DH refused to have any girly colours!

leothelioness · 19/01/2012 19:07

Ours is blue at the moment. I am not sure I like it, I don't hate it but I don't love it either so its on my very long to do list of things to change in the house when I have the budget or time.

wildstrawberryplace · 19/01/2012 19:10

White walls, cream/beige carpet, plain light oak furniture, white blinds and cream/beige curtains. I go in for bright bed linen (Orla Kiely/Conran etc) to change the mood up.

I think white is very restful.

RockChick1984 · 19/01/2012 19:54

We've got very pale pink walls (one of those crown whisper shades I think) with cream carpet and cream curtains, and black wrought iron bed and it's gorgeous, my favourite room in the house!

Earthymama · 19/01/2012 20:05

Three walls in a creamy/beige shade with one green wall.
dark cream blinds,
1930s French wardrobe and dressing table,
cream with pine top armoire and chest of drawers.
Shabby Chic pretty cream metal shelving unit, full of books
Crystal dropper light shades,
Cream Lloyd Loom ottoman
Heart shaped bedside table
Embarassing amount of throws and cushions on the bed

Here's the bit that will make you all think I'm odd, (I am) Wink
There's a small shrine with lovely things we have collected over the years, Goddess at the centre,
Two folding meditation chairs that fit under the bed when not in use,

I love the room, it's so restful and a real sanctuary.

The DGC love to make the bed and sing songs to the Goddess Grin
