soapy smelling handsoap

I'm looking for a liquid handwash to bung in the cloakroom- tiny corner sink and no space for a solid bar.

I really don't like the smell of the ones I've tried so far- don't like the anti bac ones and other ones were too sickly/strong smelling. I like the smell of liquid soaps used in a few public bogs I've been into- clean and 'soapy' smelling IYKWIM but without a strong perfume.

Anyone have any recommendations please?

Have you tried the Ecover range...they do a lovely orange and lavender one - and its all natural, lasts ages...good with septic tanks...or I do like Naran Ji, by Molton Brown. Or try Orange Blossom by Cath Collins.

The Method handwash (clear one) is gorgeous. A very light scent and foams nice and luxuriously.

Oooh I love the Method bottle.

I've got L'Occitane Almond and Verbena upstairs, downstairs and at the kitchen sink. And the automatic sensor one in the cloakroom (to encourage soap-swerver DS to wash his mitts)

You can get Pears soap in liquid now- if you like the smell of that?

I saw it in tesco last week and was excited

ooh I love Pears soap (or used to before they changed the formula) Will have a sniffing session at Boots later

Cheers all

I smelled the Pears soap and shower gel and it smells quite flowery.
Whereas the Pears Soap (from my youth) smells herby and sandlewoody/amber.

Pudden · 20/01/2012 13:58

bah! I don't want flowery or fruity. Molton Brown I imagine would be lovley but ££££ and I haven't seen the Method ones- shop at Aldi/Lidl and live in a small place .
Might have to end up decanting public lav soap into a tupperware dish! Wink

Dove (just the original one) smells really soapy IMO. It does smell like every single other Dove product though, so if that's not the kind of soapiness you're after, don't bother!

Some of the Simple ones are quite nice too.

PinotVaggio · 20/01/2012 14:13

Oh yes the Dove scent is really clean. Their deodorant is lovely too. Good call Mackerel
