Fake Leather bean bags smell awful.

We have rearranged our through lounge, put the sofas down one end and bought the kids a couple of 6 ft fake leather beanbags to sit on in front of 'their' TV instead.
It's worked well as they were always lounging around, jumping on and doing headstands on the sofa anyhow but these things stink! They were pretty cheap ( £60 each) and the smell seems to be lessening but I'd like some reassurance it'll fade altogether eventually.
Can anyone let me know one way or the other?

Do they have that foul chemically factory-ish smell? If they do it'll probably fade. Our new armchairs made me gag for days but now can't smell them.

But if it's to do with the leather or the beans inside - not sure.
