Carpet cleaner?

Spilt coffee on our fawn colored carpets earlier - they are woolen I think. Dabbed it with water but there's a bit of a stain. Any suggestions for cleaner to get stain out? ( dont really want to have to hire a rug doctor style thing)

I used something the other day on a very dubious brown stain on the sofa (was it the chocolate snack? Yes, bound to be. Nothing to do with the 1yo, nothing at all) and some red paint on the carpet at the same time. It's worked brilliantly where water-dabbing did nothing. You whisk it up into lots of bubbles and then clean with the bubbles not the liquid.

Just got a groupon voucher for carpet cleaning in surrey. It might still me on there....

Our carpet fitter said that we should blot as much moisture out of a stain as possible then use whatever cleaner you have for the stain, and then once it's applied, press a spare piece of carpet down onto the mark.
