Handheld vacuum

Could you recommend a good handheld vacuum cleaner? I hated my useless and v ££ Dyson Animal so much (ditched it for a Henry and I am now happy) that I am not too keen on using that brand again. Unfortunately it looks as though the Dyson is the only decent one out there... Please tell me it isn't so.

Sorry you probably don't want to hear this but after trying loads over the years I now have this and find it wonderful. TBH I hardly get the proper vacum out now. It is very expensive though....

Thanks Benson... Anyone else happy with a non-dyson one?...

I have this one Electrolux Z 61A GREY/Black/Orange (sorry can't do the linky thing) and its great for stairs, cars, caravans, boats etc. and although its mains powered, it does have a 6m cord.

Suction is brilliant and far better than most handhelds. I will never EVER have a Dyson again...have had two and they were both shite! Sorry to anyone who loves Dyson Blush
