Help! Spilled milk on superking size duvet!!!

Dear mums,

My 18mths DD spilled her milk onto our superking size duvet and it soaked right through into the mattress during the night Angry. To cut long story short, she slept with us and I gave her bottle (midnight feed.....she has been unwell). She must have hugging her bottle and it leaked...I think a full 8 ozs of milk was soak right through Sad (I could have cried).

I need advise how to clean our superking size duvet. I don't think I can fit it into our washing machine as the last time, it only managed to take a double duvet with me wedging the door closed! Unfortunately the local laundrette takes time to clean it (like a couple of days), and we need it for our bed at night.

Should I just wipe the 'milk' part of the duvet with wet clothes and air dried it? Like hanging over the door? Febreeze the milk part? Steam it (using my steam iron)?

Please help!

Mine is a huge all seasons feather superking and I just do it myself in launderette machine, can't you do that, why do they need to?

Apparently the local laudrettes will only take the duvets in and wash/dry it for you. Unfortunately I work in a different town, so leaving home at 7am and won't get back till 6pm. So can't make it to the local laudrette for cleaning service and they only work half day on Saturday.

Any suggestion on cleaning duvet at home?
