What's the best way to clean the couch

I've removed all the covers that can to be washed but the base of the couch still needs cleaned. Shall I just use soapy water with a scrubbing brush or hire a steam cleaner??

Any tips or advice would be greatly received, thank you.

Both would be fine but the steam cleaner will be easier. If you go with the soapy water though, I would just use the suds. Fill an empty jam jar with 1cm of warm water and a couple of splashes of detergent (whatever you want to use to clean it) and shake it up. Then scoop the suds out and rub them over the surface with a wrung out cloth so you don't over wet the fabric
