I always give them a soak, and let them dry out completely dry out but they still stink, any ideas?

when dh gutted and prepared fish on my lovey wooden bread board we had a smelly board incident, I first scrubbed the board with hot hot hot soapy water, then sprinkled soda crystals on and left it over night. scrubbed again the next day - smell gone. but the board went white and I had to oil it a couple of times, good as new.

According to Kim and Aggie you rub dry mustard powder into a dry wooden chopping board to removew smells. I havn't tried it though Smile

I have to say I have a couple of lovely wooden chopping boards but I don't use them for chopping on, I prefer to buy cheapish plastic ones that can go in the dishwasher and replace them every so often when they get stained/distorted.

The wooden ones are for show Blush
