Does anyone know how to get smells out of Tupperware tubs?

I quite often put leftovers such as lasagne/curry in tubs to freeze. Even after washing them they still smell of whatever it was. It really puts me off as I am a vegetarian and don't want to put my soup or whatever in a tub that stinks of chicken curry! Has anyone got any tips on how to get rid of them? I find leaving lids off helps a bit but then I've got loads of lids and tubs with no lids everywhere! Confused

Milton?

dishwasher? Or denture tablets would probably do it.

Try putting some bicarbonate of soda in them. Close the lid and leave overnight. It should work?!

Haven't got a dishwasher or dentures (yet)! Think may have some bicarbonate of soda somewhere, will have a look. Thanks for replies

I haven't got dentures either! [toothy] Grin

but the tabs are very good for stain removal (glassware, sink, teapots etc), and the value brands are not at all expensive

Not practical for this time of year, but leaving tubs out in bright sunlight for a few hours really helps.

Will try and remember that one too! Thank you
