Right I need one to clean out the car. Anyone recommend theirs?

Thanks

Turbo vac.

I have this and I used to use it for my stairs (live in a town house so got sick of lugging the big vac up 2 flights of stairs).
Its now just used for the car as I got a better main vac with cool attachments Smile

I havn't had any others to compare it to but this has coped well in a house and car that has 4 dogs so its certainly not a lightweight!

tootiredforxyz · 06/01/2012 11:16

Sounds good, the car is a pit.... I literally squeeze out these days, holding the door as closed as possible so know one can see the state of it!

Speaking of weight - do you find it heavy?

OP posts:
oreocrumbs · 06/01/2012 11:26

No its not heavy, and it has a long cord which is helpful. Ive had it for years and its going strong.

I fully empathise about the car! Just because I have this in my posession doesn't mean I've used it any where near as often as I should Blush

Size wise its about the length from my elbow to knuckles and the head is about a handspan wide. Its a bit clumpy round the middle but aint we all Grin

I've just got the Dyson turbo slim and it seems good so far mainly as DS thinks its his and hoovers for me.

tootiredforxyz · 08/01/2012 20:47

Are both of these cordless btw please?

OP posts:
oreocrumbs · 08/01/2012 21:01

No not the one I have, it does have a long cord though. I decided against a cordless as they generally have a short running time and are less powerful!

tootiredforxyz · 09/01/2012 04:11

Thank you oreocrumbs... Love the name btw.

Leeloo1 - can't find stain with that exact name. Do you mean the Dyson digital?

SmileItsSunny · 09/01/2012 04:25

Is the cleaning of it a pain oreocrumbs? Reviews state it needs to be cleaned after every use.

tootiredforxyz · 09/01/2012 10:57

what?! you cannot be serious! oh yes.. clean filter every time... hmmm..

OP posts:
leeloo1 · 09/01/2012 14:51

sorry yes I meant digital slim - I don't know where I got turbo from?!

And yes it is cordless. :)

oreocrumbs · 09/01/2012 17:29

Crikey does it Smile? Blush
Well to answer your question I have never cleaned it! You unscrew the end and empty the container where all the dust collects every time as its not big but I have never done anything other than that to it! And thats very easy, I may have rinsed it under the tap at one point not that I remember though! Grin

oreocrumbs · 09/01/2012 18:08

I have read that review, and yes you do tap the filter over the bin when you are emptying the dust - a very quick job I didn't even know I did!! That reviewer seems a bit OTT. He must have a lot of dust! Sends up clouds of dust? Just the normal amount you get when you put the contents of a vac in the bin! Its a bit loud but wearing ear plugs???

They also sell it in Lakeland for a tenner more but there are some fair reviews on there too Smile

SmileItsSunny · 11/01/2012 16:43

Oh - that's a relief! I certainly wouldn't manage to clean it everytime

SmileItsSunny · 11/01/2012 16:44

I'd be using it after every mealtime to clean up the mess after a weaning baby and a toddler eat. Am constantly amazed by how much damage the carpet has taken Hmm

SaraBellumHertz · 11/01/2012 16:46

I have a handheld dyson. It is brilliant.

Piffpaffpoff · 11/01/2012 19:57

Handheld dyson here too, highly recommended.

anniewoo · 31/01/2012 21:22

Love my hand held dyson
