How should I wash this jumper?

Just bought a jumper that has shed fluff onto another top. How can I wash it so that it doesn't shed on anything else? It's machine washable, would a delicates bag work?

I think it might be worth washing it once or twice on its own a couple of times first. Not sure about the delicates bag, I suppose it depends on what yours is like, mine is a mesh that would let fibres through.

Yes mine is a mesh one too but thought it might minimise the amount that gets through. Hmm...

It probably will stop a lot of the fibres but not all, do you have a tumble drier?
If I've ended up with fluff on the rest of my wash the tumble drier usually whips most of it off as long as the offending article doesn't end up in there too!

Yes we do, will give both a go.

How about popping it in a pillowcase, that way it will only shed onto the inside of the piloowcase.

Thats a good idea. I put in the delicates bags and by the time the wash had finished it had come out so fat lot of good that did. Fortunately though it didn't seem to shed on the other clothes so it's not so bad.
