Is there anythin that goes on the end, like a tub to collect condensation? Its so bloody cold having the window open!

I think something like the Betterware catalogue may have what you want (don't personally think it would be too successful because of the volume of steam...) but the best solution is to have a permanent slatted vent fitted in the wall. On really cold days I stuff towels in the gaps.

this I have connected to this and it is connected to an industrial sized [10 litre] mayo bucket with a lid and I just take off the lid and dump the water.
Or you can use the above and plump in a real vent ie a hole in the wall

Joan is right it is only ok and I only have it like this as we are soon moving and I don't want to leave a hole in the wall

Catflap?

if the hole is neatly done, with a cowelled vent on the outside, and in a place where the new resident is likely to want a drier, a proper hole should not upset anyone. If you are renting you should ask the owner.

You can hire a core drill from a tool-hire shop, it makes a perfectly round hole of just the right size to put a duct through, without having to mortar in new brickwork as used to be done. It is such as easy job that if you hire one, you will find yourself cutting holes for the kitchen and bathroom extractors as well before you give it back.

The wall duct and vent are not expensive. The plastic ends can be painted to tone in.

this sort does not rattle like the "venetian blind" sort do

A plastic tube goes into the wall to prevent condensation on the bricks.
