Glass food storage recommendations

I am looking for airtight glass jars that look quite nice but aren't too expensive.
I want them to store flour, rice, sugar, general dry goods so need big ones and medium sized ones.

Can anyone recommend some? I seem to keep ending up on Kilner jars (the ones with the flip tops but I hate the way the metal goes all rough once you've washed them so was looking for an alternative. The square push top kilner jars haven't had great reviews as apparently they're not airtight.

I am SO watching this thread! I have been googling but to no avail.

Oooh... Our ASDA had big glass jars with the clip vacuum lids.

They are quite large - I got a packet of flour in easily and they look good. Planning to glass paint mine eventually for a more jazzy look, but they are okay plain too.

Flying when did you get them? I've just looked at ASDA online but they don't seem to have any. Wondering if they don't do them any more? Also can you remember if they did various sizes as well?

Um, just before Christmas and I think ours had them when I was in last week. I'll have a look and grab a barcode when I go today if that's any use to you?

IKEA do dishwashable cliptops. The metal doesn't go weird.
